Rankings Are Earned, Not Guaranteed

Any agency promising you position one for a competitive term is either guessing or misleading you. Search results depend on competition, content quality, authority and time — none of which a contract can control.

What we can control is the work: fixing what stops search engines crawling and understanding your site, targeting the terms your customers actually type, and reporting honestly on what moved and what didn't.

Fit

Who this is for, and when it isn't worth it

The $299 AUD/month SEO Growth Package suits an Australian business that already has a working website, sells something people search for, and makes enough on a single job that one or two extra enquiries a month covers the retainer. Trades, clinics, professional services and local retailers usually sit in that shape.

It also suits a site that ranks perfectly well for its own business name and nothing else — the familiar sign that the pages exist, but nothing on them is aimed at what customers actually type into Google.

It is not worth it yet if the website is half-finished, if the pages you would want to rank do not exist, or if the site cannot be crawled or edited without a developer. In those cases the money goes further on the build: a fast, well-structured SEO-ready website gives ongoing SEO something to work with, and starting a retainer first mostly pays us to document problems the rebuild has to fix anyway.

We would also say no in two other cases. If your entire market is a handful of buyers you already know by name, search is the wrong channel. And if you need enquiries this fortnight, SEO is the wrong speed — technical fixes can show up in weeks, but competitive positions take months, and paid channels are the honest answer to an urgent gap.

What's Included

Technical Fixes First

Crawlability, indexing, speed and structure — the issues that cap everything else.

On-Page Optimisation

Titles, headings, internal links and content aligned to real search intent.

Local SEO

Google Business Profile, consistent business details and location relevance.

Search-Intent Research

Targeting terms your customers type, not the ones that merely look impressive.

Honest Reporting

Monthly reporting from Search Console showing impressions, clicks and queries.

No Link Schemes

We don't sell backlink quantities or guarantee rankings — both are risks to you.

The retainer

What $299 a month actually buys

A retainer is only as honest as its scope, so here is what a month looks like. The first one is weighted towards the audit and the baseline: crawlability, indexing, page speed, internal structure, titles and headings, plus a written record of where Search Console has you before anything changes. Everything after that is measured against it rather than claimed.

From there, each month mixes three kinds of work. Technical fixes work down the prioritised list — broken or duplicated canonicals, thin pages, redirect chains, images and scripts holding the page back, structured data that is missing or wrong. These come first because they cap everything else you could do.

On-page work takes the pages that matter commercially and aligns titles, headings, copy and internal links to the way people phrase the search. Where local relevance matters, that extends to your Google Business Profile, your service and suburb pages, and keeping your business name, address and phone number consistent everywhere they appear.

The month ends with reporting from Search Console: impressions, clicks, the queries you are being shown for, and what moved or did not. We include the pages that went backwards, because a report showing only improvement is not a report. No positions are promised, and no backlinks are sold by the number — bulk link buying is the exact pattern search engines classify as spam, and the risk of that lands on your domain, not on ours.

Larger jobs sit outside the retainer on purpose. A full technical audit, a migration with redirect mapping, or a sustained content programme is quoted separately so the monthly scope stays predictable and you can see exactly what the extra money bought.

Process

How the work runs

Technical health first, then on-page and local work, with honest monthly reporting. No promised positions, and no backlinks sold by the number.

  1. Step 01

    Audit & baseline

We audit crawlability, indexing, speed and structure, and record where you stand in Search Console before any work starts — so anything that changes later is measurable rather than claimed.

  2. Step 02

    Technical fixes

We work through the prioritised fix list first, because the issues that stop search engines crawling and understanding your site cap everything else you could do.

  3. Step 03

    On-page & local

Titles, headings, internal links and content are aligned to the terms your customers actually type — plus Google Business Profile and consistent business details where local relevance matters.

  4. Step 04

    Monthly reporting

Each month you get reporting from Search Console covering impressions, clicks and queries, including what didn't move. We commit to the work and the reporting, not to a position.

Before we start

What we need from you

Four things decide whether month one is spent working or waiting. None of them take long to gather, and all of them stay yours.

Access that can publish

Google Search Console and Google Analytics for your domain, admin access to the website or CMS, and ownership of your Google Business Profile. Read-only access isn't enough — the fixes have to be publishable.

The services you actually want more of

Your real service list, the suburbs or regions you cover, and the jobs you would rather not take. Targeting is a commercial decision before it is a technical one, and it is yours to make.

The language your customers use

The words customers say on the phone, the questions they ask before booking, and the businesses you get compared to. That is where usable search terms come from — not from a keyword tool alone.

Someone who can approve copy

One person who can sign off wording and answer a question within a week. Retainers stall on approvals far more often than they stall on technical work.

Where it fits

How SEO sits alongside the build

SEO and the website are not separate purchases. If you are building or rebuilding now, the structure, speed and page plan settled during the build decide how much a retainer can achieve later — which is why our SEO-ready web design work builds the technical groundwork in from the start instead of retrofitting it a year later.

If the site already exists and simply needs more pages or a cleaner structure, that is usually a scoped project against your existing website build, not something a monthly retainer should quietly absorb. Keeping the two separate is how you can tell whether the retainer is earning its keep.

Publishing is the other half of the equation. A WordPress site or a CMS build gives you somewhere to add service and location pages without booking developer time, and that is what keeps a retainer productive past the first few months. Without it, every new page becomes a small project of its own.

If your customers are concentrated in one city, local relevance does more for you than any national keyword — the way we approach a single-city audience is set out on our Melbourne web design page, and the same thinking applies to every capital we work in.

Website builds and their AUD prices are listed on the pricing page, starting at $899 AUD for a Starter Website. The SEO retainer is separate from all of that, billed monthly, and quoted in Australian dollars like everything else we do.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Can't find what you need? Talk to us →

  • Ongoing SEO starts from $299 AUD per month. One-off technical audits and migration work are quoted per project, depending on the size of the site.
  • No, and we'd be cautious of anyone who does. Rankings depend on competition, content, authority and time. We commit to the work and to honest reporting on what changed, not to a position.
  • We don't sell backlinks by the number. Buying links in bulk is exactly the pattern search engines classify as link spam, and it puts your site at risk. We focus on relevance, technical health and content instead.
  • Technical fixes can show up in weeks; competitive rankings typically take months. We report monthly from Search Console so you can see impressions and queries moving before positions do.
